Passkeys and 2-step verification

Sign in without a password using a passkey, or protect your password with a code from an authenticator app.

You can make signing in to your Ulifyi account faster and safer in two ways. Both are set up in your account under Security.

Add a passkey

A passkey replaces your password. You sign in with your face, fingerprint or device PIN. Passkeys only work on Ulifyi, so they can't be guessed or captured by fake sites.

  1. Open your account and go to Security.
  2. Under Passkeys, select Add a passkey.
  3. Follow the steps from your device or password manager.

You can have several passkeys, for example on your phone and your laptop. Next time you sign in, select Sign in with a passkey. To remove a passkey, select Remove next to it.

Turn on 2-step verification

With 2-step verification, signing in with your password also asks for a code from an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or 1Password.

  1. Go to Security and find 2-step verification.
  2. Select Set up.
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. Can't scan? Enter the key shown instead.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from the app and select Turn on.
  5. Save your backup codes somewhere safe, for example in your password manager. They're only shown now.

Each backup code signs you in once if you can't use your authenticator app. On the sign-in page, choose Use a backup code. You can create new codes at any time with Create new codes. Your old codes then stop working.

Signing in with a passkey skips the second step, because a passkey already counts as both.

Turn it off

Select Turn off under 2-step verification. Your backup codes stop working and your account is less protected.
