Cookie Policy

Last updated: 11 Feb 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Ulifyi KLG uses cookies and similar technologies on uli.fyi, ulifyi.ch, and related Ulifyi web services (together, the “Services”).

For more information about personal data processing, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels/tags, and comparable identifiers.

2. Cookie categories we use

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies (Essential)

These cookies are required for the Services to function. Without them, core functions such as login, security, and session management cannot work.

Examples on Ulifyi:

  • Authentication/session cookies (our own cookies / “SIDs”) for login, session management, and protection against unauthorized access
  • Security cookies (e.g., CSRF protection, abuse prevention)

Legal basis: Legitimate interests / necessity to provide the service (depending on applicable law).

2.2 Analytics / measurement cookies

These cookies help us understand how the Services are used (e.g., pages/features used, performance, errors) so we can improve them.

On Ulifyi:

  • Google Analytics (see Section 4)

Consent note: In the EU/EEA and Germany, analytics cookies are typically set only after you give consent via the cookie banner.

2.3 Marketing cookies

Ulifyi currently does not use marketing cookies for personalized advertising. If this changes, we will update this Cookie Policy and (where required) ask for consent.

3. Cloudflare (DNS/CDN/Security)

We use Cloudflare for DNS and to help secure and optimize the Services (e.g., DDoS protection, caching, traffic filtering).

Cloudflare may set cookies or use similar technologies to provide security features (e.g., bot protection) and processes technical data such as IP address, request headers, timestamps, and requested resources.

4. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to evaluate usage of the Services (e.g., page views, events, device/browser information, approximate location data).

Where legally required (especially in the EU/EEA and Germany), Google Analytics is activated only after you provide consent through our cookie banner.

5. Our authentication/session cookies (“SIDs”)

To run Ulifyi securely, we use our own session and authentication cookies (e.g., “SID” or similar tokens). These are necessary to:

  • log you in and keep you logged in,
  • manage your session,
  • implement security features (e.g., CSRF protection, abuse detection),
  • store settings required for core operation.

These cookies are essential and cannot be turned off via the cookie banner without breaking login and core functionality.

6. Retention / duration

We use both session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) and cookies with a limited lifetime.

  • Essential auth/session cookies: duration depends on your security and session configuration
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): duration depends on Google and your configuration

If you want to publish exact lifetimes, use the values from your actual GA/CMP configuration.

7. Consent & cookie settings

In the EU/EEA and Germany, optional cookies (e.g., analytics) typically require prior consent. You can change or withdraw your choice anytime via “Cookie settings” (e.g., a footer link).

8. How to delete or block cookies

You can manage cookies in your browser settings:

  • delete existing cookies
  • block cookies (all or certain categories)
  • configure notifications when cookies are set

Note: If you block essential cookies, login and core features may not work reliably.
